Not a chapter: Invent your own class competition

No chapter this Sunday due to my ongoing job seeking efforts. I do however have something I hope will be entertaining. Wait, I lied. Chapter 37 will be out in a few hours.

Two weeks ago I started a competition between the Patreon donors to invent their own classes, and these were the rules:

Enter an aspect and a specialisation, then describe a unique class that you envision based on both.

Example 1:
Aspect: Science
Specialisation: Healing
Proposed class: [Doctor]

Example 2:
Aspect: Deceit
Specialisation: Healing
Proposed class: [Shapeshifter]

Example 3:
Aspect: War
Specialisation: Healing
Proposed class: [Field Medic]

FAQ:

Q: What exactly is an Aspect?
A: An aspect is an abstract concept that has meaning to the denizens of the world, and has an antonym.

Good examples: Life and Death, Truth and Lies, Strength and Weakness, Joy and Sadness, Warmth and Coldness, etc.
Bad examples: Metal, Grain, Spoon. These words have meaning, but have no antonyms.

Q: What counts as a specialisation?
A: Any productive profession or pursuit a person can dedicate their life to.

Good examples: Conquest, Smithing, Mining, Fishing, Crafting, Magic, etc.
Bad examples: There are none, so go ahead and prove me wrong.

Vote here!

Note: You can select multiple choices.

Today I have the results of the competition, and here are the classes submitted:

Berserker Rage Warrior Touched by rage, Berserkers wears their heart on their sleeve and experiences the world through very intense and uncontrolled emotion. Intense lovers, rowdy drunken brawlers, or as a mine laborer taking out frustration on a rock face, is how a Berserker might live outside of battle. However in battle is where a Berserker lives most fully, they throw themselves into the thick of battle without concern for their own wellbeing, using the aspect of rage to fuel powerful strikes and shrug off damage, seeking only to slay their foe’s. [Battle Cry] - The Berserker lets out a deafening cry, bolstering their allies morale and striking fear into their enemies.
[Thundering Strides] - The Berserker rushes forward at great speed, legs pumping like great pistons.
[Battle Rage] - The Berserker enters a trance like state, they move faster, strike harder, and feel no pain, until the rage subsides the Berserker views everyone as an enemy.
[Exhaustion] - Passive state - After [Battle Rage] wears off the Berserker is left in an exhausted, weakened state until they can rest.

Hedonist Abundance Pleasure Dedicates themselves to the pursuit of pleasure of any and all kinds. Permanent mood bonus, affects anyone within a certain range. Alba
Plague Doctor Disease Priest Their vestments are similar to those invented by Charles de L'Orme, with their beaked leather mask, thick robes, and simple cane.

A literal, if not correct, 'godsend' for those not in the know, quickly killed or run out of town by those aware of what they truly are, the [Plague Doctor] wanders from town to town in their holy mission, posing as a lowly itinerant [Doctor]. When they wander into a new town, they seek out those dying from disease, promising to cure them. If they accept, and only if they accept, their disease will be 'cured', and they will be completely immune to it's effects - but unbeknownst to them, they were changed into a [Plague Carrier] of that disease. Within a few weeks of the [Plague Doctor]'s departure, the town will have died out, with only a few left, never knowing that they were responsible for the deaths of their kinsmen.

Warmind Science Commander The Science version of the [Commander]. This class specializes in target assessment and maneuvering of troops making the best out the greater situational awareness provided by Science. The commander's greatest weapon is a sharp wit and a quick mind. [Harry Them!] - Coordinates units to move and attack in the most optimal manner. In addition increases the speed of the two units engaging in the maneuver.
[Tactical Genius] - Identifies and marks linchpin elements in an enemy's tactics.

Auditor Wealth Taxation Even in a world of magic where the age of man never had a chance, everyone still fears the dreaded auditor, for not even gods are safe from his purview. Heavens tremble for even the god of chaos gets his papers in order when the auditor comes knocking, for once repossessed - miracles are rarely reclaimable.
Citadel of Sorrow: 100% immune to all damage when following the tax code (lost on critical compassion damage)

Inversion: On damage from the auditee, gain mirroring powers until the process is over.

Pursuit predator: you can run and you can hide, but if there's a door, the auditor will be at the other side of it. Teleportation to the nearest door near the target.

Life Smith Life Metal working Skilled smith whose metal masterworks are brought to life. Imbue life - imparts life (and sentience/sapience depending on circumstances) to sufficiently detailed metal creations (examples - metal seed that grows a tree when planted, metal cat, etc). redria7

Crusader Holy Swordsman It is time to purge the world of heretics. You have been chosen for that mission. Deus Vult- Channel the power of your God and fell your opponent (extra damage) irmadbro
Mage Hunter Mundane things Assasin Having magic is all well and good, but sometimes, you want to kill one of the bastards. You could send a mage, but he'll have prepared for that. Instead, you send a [Mage Hunter] [Dispel Magic] Dissipates spells
[Destroy Mana] Destroys the ambient mana in an area, putting mana regeneration to 0 for everyone around
[Penetrate barrier] That protect-me-from-everything shield? It won't protect you against that

Town Planner Order Administration Every civilization eventually comes to the conclusion that putting the tannery next to the nursery is probably a bad idea, or that you should probably be gathering water upstream of where you shit. The [Town Planner] is the natural consequence of this fact, put in charge of maximizing the efficiency of a settlement to utilise its resources the best they can. [Relocate structure] (magically moves a building, road or other construction to a new location up to [level] distance away) , [Rally workers] (improves ally rate of work), [Instruct] (improve rate of construction of new structures, improves ability to relay information), [Decree zoning law] (improve efficiency of specified structure category in zone, decrease efficiency of structures outside of that category) Eve
Martyr Charity Healer A support class that uses mana with its own blood and/or life force as fuel for its most advanced spells. Heavy use reduces the user's lifespan and because of this it is rare for short-lived races to have this class Life-Saver, Death-Seeker (Passive): Martyrs incur heavy penalties for using healing magic on anyone with the Martyr class, including themselves.
Spendthrift Healing (Passive): Healing magic becomes extremely mana-inefficient the closer the target is to dying if not combined with the Sacrifice skill.
Sacrifice: Offering Blood negates the increased cost of Spendthrift Healing. Offering pure Life-Force negates the increased cost of Spendthrift Healing and causes healing magic to become extremely effective the closer the target is to dying.

There was a tie between Redria7 and Eve for second place, so I resolved this by considering the time of submission.

I want to thank everyone who participated!

Expect to see viable submissions (even the ones that weren't in the top 3) become part of the story whenever a good opportunity to include them in a meaningful way arises. I won't promise immediate gratification (because I don't want to rush and ruin the plot I have in mind), but they'll now be part of my writer's notes.
